The Chennai-based Hyundai Motor India, the second largest car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter in the country has registered 25.7 percent growth in exports at 24,551 units in April 2013.

The Thiruvottiyur, Chennai-based Royal Enfield, manufacturer of iconic Bullet motorcyles and part of the Eicher Group has inaugurated its new manufacturing plant at Oragadam, near Chennai with an initial capacity of 150,000 units of Desert Storm 350 cc and Thunderbird 500 cc models.
